Our 4th of July Company

How much fun did we have with our 4th of July company?? Come along on the journey and see what we did....
First things first- sushi (Have you figured out that we love sushi? What's even better is that our nieces love sushi!!) and Marble Slab Creamery ice cream.
I own a dress up mermaid book. How many times do you think I read that to Reagan?? Don't you love the mermaid crown, seaweed hair extensions and shell necklace??
I got help watering all of my plants and flowers.
The youngest of the crew came too.
This coffee cup gives you an idea of the size of Mia.
We spent the day at the club on Saturday. We hung at the pool, the boys and the two older girls played golf, there were games, a cookout and the day ended with a fireworks show. Reagan met some new friends.
Konner won the penny dive for her age group.
Hunter was very close to winning her age group. There was some tough older boy competition!!
It was such a beautiful night to sit outside to watch fireworks.
We discovered that Konner is "the dog whisperer".
Mike took the day off on Sunday for a trip to Charleston. We started by eating lunch on the water at Shem Creek.
We sat in booths that were actually tiki hut gliders.
Mike's sister Kristen and her husband Jerry.
We then went downtown for a carriage tour of historic Charleston.
As we were waiting in the big red barn to board our carriage, Reagan found some goats. Her arms are crossed because I kept telling her, "Don't touch the goats. Don't touch the goats. Don't touch the goats." I had to tell her a few twenty times to make sure that she didn't touch them:-)
Even though Mike and I have been to Charleston many times, we've never taken a carriage tour. We saw many beautiful homes along the way.
I found a Bed and Breakfast that I would like to stay at sometime. At several hundred a night, I doubt that it will be anytime soon.
I wouldn't be upset if Mike decided that he wanted to buy me this pink house that is for sale!!
It was so hot that we had to break from the sightseeing to have a frozen concoction at Wet Willies.
We then headed to Folly Beach.
Mike, the little kid that he is, went out in the water with his clothes on knowing that he didn't have a change of clothes.
Kristen told Reagan not to get wet. She said, "Mommy, I promise I won't get wet". Yeah, right. To see her precious face smiling with happiness and to hear her squeal with delight from playing in the waves was one of the best things I've watched in a long time. She lives in Wisconsin, so the beach was something that thrilled her to pieces!!
We topped off the day with fresh seafood at an outdoor restaurant in Folly Beach. Yummy!!
She looks like I felt after our fun day...wiped out!!
We finished their visit with Christmas in July!! Since we didn't get to see them when we were home for Christmas, I still had Christmas gifts to give them. I could have mailed them, but it is so much more fun to give them in person.
I hope Reagan enjoys her little chef outfit!! You can bake some cookies for your Aunt Lele and Uncle Mike if you want (our feelings won't be hurt). Hehe!! What a fun visit!!! We hope that you can come back again soon!!!

Wow, what a ton of fun. That little Mia is one cute puppy.

I love the homes around Charleston. I would love to visit there someday. But I'd have to come in the winter season - too hot for me now!

What a great time. I'd love to go to Charleston. I guess when we finally move to SC I'll have to.

You have to tell me the name of the dress up mermaid book. My daughter loves them & just called her mimi last night & told her she had to make her a mermaid costume.

Now THAT looks like my kind of day! I loved seeing all the places you visited and loved the ice cream stops. We have to make quite a few of those too. Charleston looks beautiful.. never been there. That pink house looks like something I would buy. Adorable..
