Scrappin'

Once a month I have a creative release. I need a creative release about once a day, but once a month is better than nothing. I really enjoy my monthly scrappin' class with my friend Margaret.
Our February class was all about love and hearts. I adore the combo of brown, tan, red, pink and peachy pink. Margaret got a new cricut so I imagine our classes will be filled with all the fun intricute designs that cricut will allow you to do. Our bonus project was a paper covered jar filled with chocolate crispy hearts. Paper and chocolate...you can't go wrong!!!
In November we did a Halloween/Fall layout. Our bonus project was a travel coffee mug. It had a insert for paper so you could change it with your mood. We put our embossed monogram on a cute black and white flowered paper, but my pic just didn't come out correctly.
In December we did a layout called the 12 gifts of Christmas. So cute!!
Our bonus project in December was a cookie sheet Advent calendar for the kitchen. I LOVE this!! All of those little tiny embellished pieces were very time consuming to say the least.
In January it was supposed to be "Caught in the Act". I changed it up a bit and did our initials and the year we got married. I thought the layout would be cute with pics from our shower. Our bonus project was a "Remember" magnet for to do lists with a ragamuffin ribbon hanger. Do you think this remember magnet will actually help me remember everything that I need to do. Ha!! Yeah, right. post signature

Merry Christmas...just a little late

I finally had a chance to get together with my friend Margaret and her daughter Marissa to exchange Christmas presents. January was more than a tad bit busy for me, so I was happy to have a chance to spend some time with them. Margaret is so crafty, and teaches scrapbooking and paper crafting classes. She made me a gift that I will absolutely cherish. No one can ever go wrong with something about my girl dogs, and it matches my house.
Marissa was so cute with her childhood excitement that just can't be matched.
She got an American Girl doll for Christmas, so I thought she would love some American Girl strawberries and cream body products for herself. She loved them, especially because there was glitter in the lotion and body spray.
She is totally into TinkerBell right now, and I found lots of fun TinkerBell craft supplies {she loves crafts like her Mom} and a ribbon baton. The ribbon baton was the hit of the day.
She told me that she had to go change into something more appropriate to play with her ribbon baton. She went upstairs and below is the outfit that she changed into so she could put on a dance show for me. Her dog, Snowball, thought she should be included in the fun.

I am at www.chic-critique.com today talking about a crusty heel cure. My Mom will really be proud of me for airing out our crusty family laundry. Go check it out, and as always please leave me a comment. Our comment numbers are down, and we need to feel the love!!
