Look what hubs brought home!!

I just happened to see the artist of this painting last weekend at the 4th of July celebration. Although I've only met her once when I went to her house with a mutual friend, I liked her from the moment I met her. She likes to paint and decorate her house, and I just know we would be friends if we were around each other more. You know how you sometimes just click with someone right off the bat?? Well, I saw a painting like this one in her house {but different colors} and told her that I liked it. She said that she had painted it, and would paint one for me when we moved into our new house. I thought she was just saying that to be nice, but when I saw her last weekend and we talked about it and she asked my house colors, I decided that she might really mean it. A week later hubs brought this home to me. Score!!! She did such a great job without even seeing my home. Now I just have to figure out if I want it on a red wall or a tan wall. What do you think??

Most definitely the red wall. Wow! You really did score big on that one. Will it need to be framed? Just go-jus!

I really like the way it pops off the red wall but there's somthing about the serenity of the tan wall.

Ummmm....I guess I'll go with the red.

How fun...isn't it neat when you find a kindred spirit like that. At least you won't have to paint a red wall. I just scored huge at the most amazing yard sale with an entire bedding set. Problem is...I have to now paint my room red to make it match...enjoy your new painting.

How fun! Art means even more when you know the artist.

I'm voting for the red wall. Love the way it stands out in front of the red. -Julia
